The non-profit organisation Oxygen Ukraine provides free trips to a therapeutic camp for children who have lost their parents in the war, whose families have been separated, or whose relatives are serving on the front lines. Oxycamp has been our regular partner for this project for nine years.
Oxycamp is a place where children and teenagers who have experienced war can feel safe and cared for. Here, they can make new friends, begin to recover from trauma and create positive new memories.
Day camps for children designed to provide psychological and emotional support through creative workshops, team games, and Christian moral education. The program aims to help children restore emotional balance and develop essential social and communication skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
A transformational programme for teenagers and young people, developed in collaboration with our partner Oxycamp, that focuses on recovery, psychological support and leadership development.
The program is designed for young people who have been forced to leave their homes, experienced psychological trauma due to the war, and are seeking a new sense of stability in a complex world. We provide them with a safe space in which to heal emotionally, develop self-awareness and boost their confidence in their own abilities.
An educational and creative project for teenagers and young people interested in music and media.
It’s a space where young people explore their potential, learn to work in teams, create musical projects, and grow through creativity. We help them take their first steps in playing instruments, singing, and working with sound, lighting, and stage equipment. Participants can immediately put their new skills into practice during concerts, creative performances, and collaborative events.

1. Temporary shelter for war refugees (over 1,500 people).
From the very first days of the war, the Oxygen Ukraine volunteer team organized temporary shelters for internally displaced people in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Ternopil. We have built a network of volunteers that includes hundreds of families in these cities who are welcoming refugees into their homes. Since 24 February, we have provided temporary housing for more than 1,500 refugee families, and supported women and children with temporary relocation abroad.
2. Evacuation of 1,300 Ukrainian women and children abroad.
The vast majority of women and children temporarily staying at our shelter chose to leave Ukraine for safety reasons. The Oxygen Ukraine volunteer team collected and prepared documents for those who lacked foreign passports or other necessary paperwork, organised transportation, and helped find new homes in European countries. In collaboration with the Holy Spirit Night organisation in Stuttgart, Germany, we evacuated more than 1,300 women, children, pensioners and people with disabilities.
Together with the UK-based charity Love Bristol, our volunteers also helped Ukrainian women and children obtain UK visas, find sponsors and complete all the necessary paperwork. Temporary shelters were set up in the Polish cities of Przemyśl and Katowice for those awaiting UK visas. Thanks to our partnership with Love Bristol, over 800 Ukrainians ultimately received visas and temporary housing in the UK.
3. The “Montana” shelter in the Carpathian Mountains (312 people).
For Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to the war but did not want to go abroad, the Oxigen Ukraine team opened the Montana shelter – a place that has become a temporary home for 312 people: the elderly, large families, orphans, and families of military personnel. All residents of Montana were provided with full support – accommodation, food, clothing, and medicine.
4. FOODBOX – food and hygiene kits (OVER 82,000 BOXES).
Oxigen Ukraine launched a permanent project called FoodBox to distribute food and hygiene kits and sets of warm clothing. Kits containing food, hygiene products, and clothing for adults and children were distributed to elderly people, single mothers with children, and families who had lost their income. Since February 25, 2024, the Oxygen Ukraine has distributed more than 82,000 boxes of food and hygiene products. Our team sent humanitarian supplies to the settlements where they were most needed.
5. Supplying hospitals with medicines and medical equipment (17 hospitals and clinics).
In cooperation with partners from Germany, France, and the United States, we established deliveries of medical supplies to Ukraine. Seventeen hospitals and clinics received assistance from our organization.
6. Providing supplies for orphanages (8 boarding schools).
Oxigen Ukraine provided food, clothing, hygiene products, stationery, bedding, and building materials to eight boarding schools and orphanages.
7. Water purification systems (5044 water purification systems).
Hundreds of Ukrainian cities have their civilian infrastructure completely destroyed. In cooperation with the American companies CISCO and Wine to Water, 5,044 drinking water filtration and purification systems were delivered and distributed in Ukraine. They were distributed by Oxygen Ukraine volunteers in de-occupied Ukrainian cities. This has restored access to drinking water for tens of thousands of families.
8. CITYHUB URBAN SPACE (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil)
Between fall 2022 and spring 2023, Oxygen Ukraine created CityHub urban spaces, which served as shelters for residents who did not have access to electricity. CityHub visitors received:
9. Laptops and tablets for children in the frontline zone (10,170 units).
As a result of Russia’s military aggression, a large number of schools in eastern and southern Ukraine were destroyed, leaving tens of thousands of children out of school. In response to this need, we provided children in the frontline zone with laptops and tablets in cooperation with the German government fund GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) and the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories. As a result, 10,170 laptops and tablets were distributed in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. This means that children from more than 10,000 families were able to join school lessons online and continue their education.
10. Generators for volunteers and organizations working in the frontline zone (203 generators).
Together with our partner organizations, Love Bristol (UK), Samariterdienst (Germany), and others, we managed to purchase and deliver 203 generators to volunteers and organizations located in close proximity to the front line, whose work is crucial for the livelihoods of many Ukrainians.
